Left rear brake drags and gets hot. Right front also drags slightly. Replaced left rear wheel cylinder. When left rear shoe adjusts, they drag again. Return springs seem fine. Is this a master cylinder issue? Any way to repair or fix this without replacement? Could I just flush the system or examine the master cylinder for anything that's broken or not in place?

When you get the drag on the front, raise the front and open the bleeder, if the wheel spins free, the hose or master is defective, start with the hose, especially if you have a hard pedal, if the wheel still has drag, replace BOTH calipers. The other thing is if the fluid is contaminated, you can get these symtoms, fill a cup with water, remove some fluid from the master reservoir, put it in the water and swirl, it should turn milky white, with no oil beads floating on top. If ANY oil is present, it means some put tranny fluid or oil in the master, at that point, ALL rubber parts need to be replaced! ALL steel lines flushed with alcohol, or brakekleen. Also make sure the lining material is clean, no oil or grease!
