Is there another fuse box besides in the glove box and where is it? I've torn the car apart looking for it. I have a drain on the battery and when fuses in glove box are pulled the drain still remains.

Hi,

The only fuse box is on RH side of I/P, There are a couple remote fuses Remote Lock Control fuse and Multi-function Alarm fuse. The Multi-Function Alarm In-Line Fuse is located behind RH side of I/P, behind fuse block. Be sure the battery is fully charge and the amp rating is correct. Perform a battery load test I'm attaching repairs guides for you to reference.
It could also be your alternator drawing the battery down unhook it and recheck the draw. The system Maximum Parasitic Draw .................... 0.050 Milliamps. If your checking with a test light it will be real dim if it is bright the draw is still present. Let us know if this information is helpful and where the draw was.

This is the only fuse panel that I show. Try disconnecting the electrical source off the alternator.

What is the draw that you are measuring?

Battery shows 12.8V testing
Under load charging at 14.3V

No change with alternator disconnected however there is a drop to zero when the three wires on the starter motor positive main feed are disconnected, leaving the starter motor still connected to the feed by itself.
I can't find anything telling me what these wires feed.
Shot in the dark here but, since the ECM isn't getting any signal from the any reference wire (no codes), what uses power that isn't monitored by the computer?
Issues:
Cruse control went out then wiper delay then wipers have to be toggled on and off to turn them off.
Replaced the wiper switch even though it tested fine.
Also disconnected the wiper motor and still no change in power draw.
The battery is not going dead after sitting a few days.

Found it! I should have known better and am embarrassed to say, the draw was human error. Before I test I always check fuses, well my fuse box is inside the glove box. Any ideas?
I never closed the glove box after checking the fuses so because of the light switch being open I was showing the draw!
Now back to the problems that lead to the fuses to start. The windshield wipers and the cruse control. Any ideas are welcome and thanks for the help guys!

Hi,

Not the first time that has happen but you found the draw right. Check and be sure the wiper motor recall has been performed on this vehicle call your local dealer. # 15789: Service Parts Safety - Windshield Wiper Motor Failure - (Oct 26, 2015). Remember recalls are forever unless you have a R Title. The wipers could be the wiper motor cover on the wiper motor check and the wiper fuse. I'm attaching wiring schematics for you to check voltage drops and grounds before you replace it. The cruise control is electric over vacuum check engine manifold vacuum. Check and clear DTCS if any are present and check the brake light switch for proper operation.
Check vacuum hose for leaks, kinks, and restrictions. Also check Cruise Control Servo linkage for proper slack.
If the system works except for the Tap-Up and Tap-Down functions, replace the Cruise Control Module.
Check radio fuse by operating the radio.

Thanks for your response.

When I unplugged the wiper motor connection at the motor and put the key on accessories, turn switch on high, the motor is getting back fed with power and tries to engage. Freaked me out bad.

Hi,

The wipers will operate on high mode with the motor cover unplugged there is another connector for high speed operation. I'm attaching a video link for General Motors windshield wiper motor system it will show an 1991 Buick but it also applies to your vehicle. Please watch it because it shows you exactly how the windshield wiper motor operates and how to diagnose the system. Please let me know if this video was helpful and what fixed the wipers.

Thank you
Joe T.
