I've been looking for the fuel filter on this car all day. I have decided it doesn't have one. I'm just checking but I now believe I have to drop the fuel tank to even get to the fuel filter. There isn't access in the trunk or below the back seat. Sometimes I don't understand what the engineers were thinking when they design these things.

Hello,

As you suspected, this vehicle does not have an inline fuel filter. It is part of the fuel pump in the tank.
Also, this is not a regular maintenance item on this vehicle.
And yes, you will have to remove the fuel tank to access the fuel pump.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
