Hi, I have a 1985 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3L, It starts fine but only runs for a few seconds, and then quits, I have found that something is making the fuel pump shut off, but don't know were to look, or how to fix it.
Can anyone help Me?

I believe that these are powers during engine run via the alternator, the idea is that if you have an accident and the fuel line is ruptured the pump will stop when the alternator stops, direct power feed to the pump on start up is via a relay so the fuel line is pressurised, you should hear the pump turn on and off if you just turn the key to on, have this checked out first.
