I dies after 1-3 miles driving. How do I know if it is a fuel pump or not?

Mercedes very well taken care 1991 - 190E 2.3, dies while I am driving. I start feeling the fuel pedal is not responding and then
it dies. After 20-30 seconds starts again and most of the time runs again well, but sometimes happens again after I stop/park and leave again. How can I know if it is a fuel pump or not? Sorry, I don't have a donation. Thanks!

You would need to test the fuel pressure to know if it is the fuel pump.

Is the MIL indicating and have you checked for trouble codes?
