Fuel pump?

Yes, once I took the o-ring off the pump came off and that’s when gas quickly started coming out from directly underneath. The o-rings condition seems good still.

Hi,

The fuel pump should have lifted first once you removed the retainer. Then the o-ring is between the pump and the tank. Is that how you have it installed or did you place the pump in the tank, the O-ring on top of the pump, and then the retainer? Also, there are notches on the lock ring. Make sure all seven notches of the lock ring have engaged.

Next, I attached the directions for the auxiliary fuel pump module installation. It indicated the o-ring must be replaced. I've never had a problem with one that was in good condition, but maybe that is the case with yours; it's damaged and not visible.

Take a look at the directions below. Make sure everything is clean and confirm the quick connector isn't the source of the leak.
