We recently had a speed sensor replaced in the transmission, five days later while driving the van lost all gears. It is stuck in neutral in all gears icluding reverse. Has the transmission gone or could it be something else?

Good afternoon,

The most common cause of this issue is a failed torque converter in the transmission. It fails internally and does not turn the front pump in the transmission for application of the clutches and bands.

This requires the removal and inspection of the transmission. Most likely you will end up with a rebuild or replacement transmission.

I attached the procedure for removing the transmission for you below.
