Yes I do. Additional info/ there are no trouble codes/after extensive testing, my suspicion may be leading to a trans. Converter issue/ it will stall if shifted to lower foward gears but not in drive

Do you know which trans you have? Is it the AOD or the E4OD?

Following up on this problem. Question from you was what kind of trans.E4OD. Verifying everything engine related tested & working satisfactory leads me to a possible trans converter issue. My question is there any specific tests to verify or is it exploritory?
I have seen a number of related problems on the internet from TSBs on filter dropping to front pump issues. Appreciate a responce on this. Thanks

It could be the brake light switch or one of the transmission solenoids. See in reverse (shift solenoid) SS1 is on and SS2 is off as well as CCS (coast clutch) is off. If any one of these solenoids are not as they should be the PCM sends a signal to the TCC and the converter will lock up and the truck will die when in reverse only. I would have these checked out before replacing or rebuilding the trans or converter.

Found problem to be auto. Trans. Filter not fully installed. Customer had trans. Seviced a year ago.
Upon removal of pan, filter dropped down with it.
