Hello I have a 1992 ford Taurus SHO with 127,000 miles on it with the 3.0 liter DOHC engine, when I turn at slow speeds my car makes a pop, and sometimes a creak, can you help me out?

If you are not moving and turn the wheel, will it do it then?

May be the spring or strut bearing moving.

IF you open the hood and have someone outside of the car listening, they may be able to further narrow down the source.

May be the spring or strut bearing moving. Broken spring perhaps.

IF you open the hood and have someone inside the carturning the wheel back and forth slowly, you may be able to further narrow down the source by listening and watching for noise as it happens.

In particular, place your hand on the strut tower in the engine compartment and feel if it is prominent at that point. There wa a TSB that reflected the Upper Spring seat assembly rubbing on the Sheet metal tower. Basically it called for a spacer being put in. IF it were me and I'm pulling it out , I would install new Monroe Quick-strut assys.
