I have a 99 Ford Taurus SE, auto, V6, 114,000 miles. The problem is the oil pan gasket keeps poping out and leaking oil and I would like to know what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks for any help.

3.0 motor huh?

There is a specific procedure and tightening spec on the gasket. You'll need a OEM gasket for this one.

IF your gonna go after it, Post back and I'll dig out the TSB.

Yes. I'll most likely be replacing the gasket, but could there be pressure building up in the oil pan causing it to pop out. Also the rpm's sometimes rev up and rpm's jump a little and car jerks alittle when coming to a stop. Thanks

Havn't dug out the tsb, but excessive pressure can do that, check the pcv system for a restriction. The 3.0 motors have a problem with this gasket though.

Bolt specs are 89-123 INCH/POUNDS. Strongly recommend follow this procedure to the "t". You don't want to do this a second time.
