2002 Ford Taurus SES/V-6/Auto/52,000mi, new brakes/rotors, oil pan has slow leak (not fixed yet), loose connection to junction box repaired. Grinding or rubbing noise occurrs when vehicle is in drive but not moving, sometimes when moving, loudest when turning moving forward. No idea what it could be.

If noise is present when car is in park, check your serpentine belt and pulleys. It is time to change the belt, and maybe the tensioner too...
