A few years back my car would stop when putting on the breaks. I would have to put it in neutral and start the car. Found that I needed to replace the Idle Air Control Valve. After that the car was running with no problems. Now a few years later I'm having a similar problem. The car does not stop (yet) but the RPM fluctuate when putting on the breaks. It started hesitating when accelerating. Could it be the TPS?

It could be the TPS, IAC, or a vacuum leak. Has the check engine light come on?

That was my guess on the TPS. I'll change it and let you know if it worked. No the light has not turned on.

Yes, let me know. As far as the IAC, you may want to see if it needs cleaned, and check for vacuum issues.
