My emissions light came on, I had it scanned. I replaced the egr valve and gasket. I had the light reset and a few days later it came back on. What else would cause the light to come on and what should I look at next.

Let me guess... Your code was a P0401--EGR insufficient flow? If I'm correct, It's a shame you replaced the EGR for nothing. The problem is caused by sensor that monitors EGR flow. It gets plugged up and then can't read. It has to be replaced, it cannot be cleaned. I hope I'm on the right track guessing what your code was. Otherwise it would be good to post the actual code so it can be diagnosed correctly. Hope this helps.
