Thank you first of all for taking my question. The serpentine belt on my car is making a nosie thats is driving me nuts. I have cleaned the belt and all of the pullys and I have even sprayed WD-40 on the backs of the pullys and nothing seems to work. IThe noise is very loud at start-up and then dies down a litte. After the car is "warm" the nosie dies down but stays conset and gets louder at acceleration. Please any help you can give would be great. Thank you for your time.

Hi:
It is loudest at start up because that is when there is the most draw on the alternator. As far as the WD40 trick, that will usually quiet it for a few minutes but then make it worse. Have you checked to make sure the belt tensionier is good? Also, have you tried a new belt?

Let me know. If you do try a new belt, clean all the pullies with something like brake cleaner to make sure there is no oil on them.
