Hello,

I am trying to purchase a fuel pump at jcwhitney. Com but am not sure which one to choose. My mechanic told me that a universal electric pump will work, but I don't know wich pressure/deilvery capacity I should choose. Also am not sure if my car is fuel or throttle body injected. Thanks for your help.

I can almost guarantee if you purchase a universal from them, you will not be happy. Universal pumps are "OK" but they are more headache then they are worth. You still have to remove the fuel tank, and then you have to disassemble the assembly in order to replace the motor. If you are concerned about money, you will save yourself money and time if you simply purchase the pump assembly from your local parts store. You may want to check with the dealer, too. Sometimes they can actually get it cheaper than parts stores!
