1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a problem with lining up the cam shaft sensor the manual has it at 38 degrees and I read another posting on the web site which claims it to be 75 degrees. The posting stopped can tell me which degree it is. And what was the out come from the other posting with the same porblem I'm having. Thank you for your time.

Lubricate synchronizer drive gear with engine oil. Insert synchronizer assembly into engine. While inserting, synchronizer assembly will rotate. When installed, synchro positioner should point 75 degrees from engine centerline.
