1999 Ford Taurus cam sensor

1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My dad has a 1999 ford taurus after it sits over night it will not crank the other day i put a code reader on it and the code was po102 we put a crank sensor and it still does the same thing its like the lifters are bleeding offit misfires for a while but i keep cranking on it it finnally runsand runs good I was wondering if it has a cam sensor and if that would be the problem?

P0102 deals with Mass Air Flow sensor circuit low input.

Cam sensor location: 3.0L OHV rear of engine block, between cylinder heads
