1996 Ford Taurus power cuts out

When I am driving the car thw power cuts out for a brief moment and then goes right back and sometimes the powersteering goes out until I restart the car. I have had the alternator checked and it checked out fine! Any Ideas? Thanks

Hi:
Do all electrical components go off? If you loose PS, chances are the engine died. Is that what happens?

You need to start with checking grounds. Make sure the battery to engine block is clean and tight, and from engine to body.
