Have a no spark condition, but have a injector signal for only the first crank revolution then goes away mitchel info gets real vague on how cam and crank signals and pcm control coil. Thanks for the info
The only problem is that thier is no icm and if you look at the wiring diag it shows the crank and cam wires run directly to the pcm.I have the same mitchel on demand info you seem to be using, it is usualy nice but this time it has let me down. If I look in the electrical component locator it does not list a icm and it dosent show up on the wiring diag eather. Mitchel also dosent seem to have a diagnostic procedure for a no spark symptom listed in its basic systems tests for ignition controls.I have to go to a 98 year taurus to get a system discription that does not include a icm, and wiring diag is simular.I have verified that the wires run directly to the pcm and have good scope paterns at pcm conector, for a cranking engine that is.I dont think ford put a 98 pcm and ign control system in a 96 but the vin door and under hood years all match. This car is realy a mystery but needs to be fixed that way I can sleep at night. Thanks again. Chris p.S. No check engine lite and no codes in memory or koeo self test

Do you have a check engine light On or has flashed- below is how the ignition system works its little bit complicated but sooner or later you'll get use to it.
