Hello. I have a 2000 ford taurus se 3.0 DOHC. Its running bad, and we ran the codes and it said ignition coil for the whole rear of the engine. We pulled the coil off the back and put a plug in it and started it and it didnt fire. We unclipped the ignition coil and moved it to the front of the engine and it fired. The whole back side of the engine doesnt have spark but all have working ignition coils. Im thinking it needs another computer, but am scared to spend the money cause they cant be returned.

Hello, to anyone reading this or has a similar problem the car is now fixed. It was the computer and 1 coil pack. I bought a computer with matching serial numbers at a junk yard for 50$ and then took it to ford to have it reprogrammed for 48$. It ran alot better but they have a better diagnostic system than autozone and it said that the ignition coil on cylinder 3 (driver side rear) was bad. Sure enough, it runs like a champ now.
