Took my Taurus in for repair (tune/ac/oilchg)- Shop said Engine mount needs replacement plus new front end (tie rods/struts) ? Engine mount repair a common problem-or does the shop need revenue?
(no apparent problems in driving the car-maybe caught in time?)
Also- to conserve $- they also said replace rear shocks- asked if that could wait (will need muffler/pipe repair within next 6-12 mo) ok with my decision?

Tie rods. Especially inners will produce a sound like a coffee percolator when going over bumps, struts will too. Engine mounts will cause vibrations to be felt. Steering parts and struts if needed should be done at the same time, this will keep the new parts from wearing out early! Get a second opinion if you want.
