I have 1996 ford ranger and the other I day it started blowing hot air through the vents even with the air flow turned off, no matter what temp setting I turn it on the temp comes out the same even when I turn it to the cool air(blue) still the same hot air, even with the a/c on the air stays the same temp. The fan speed adjusts correctly it just blows hot air faster.

Assuming your truck has vacuum controlled HVAC and not electronic try this: pull the glove box out, (push each side til the tabs clear and let it drop). If it is vacuum controlled you should see a vacuum motor in front of you. Make sure the arm on the motor is still connected to the tab for the door, make sure you have vacuum going to the motor by pulling the hose off and operating your controls. If you have vacuum and the motor is attatched correctly then you need a new motor. If there is no vacuum present follow the line back looking for a break. Good luck.
