2003 Ford Ranger No cold air

I had a problem similar to this 2 yrs ago. I replaced a relay and everything was fine.

I swapped out the relay to diagnose the problem last time and I got I could not shut off the COLD but I don't remember which one to put in its place.

Any suggestion?

Check if the compressor is working. The relay that operates the compressor is the AC clutch relay located in underhood battery junctionbox.

Sorry I am unable to find a location diagram for you.

With the compressor working, if there is no cold air blowing, possible causes are :

1. Restricted AC evaporator core or orifice.
2. Low refrigerant level.
3. A/C cycling switch.
4. Temperature blend door actuator control.
5. Engine overheating.
6. Condenser airflow restricted.
7. Heater control valve.

Does the AC blow cold and then start to fade away or it will remain not cold anytime it is turned ON?

Get a pressure test done and let me know the readings of the high and low pressures.
