Engine Performance problem
1993 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have a V-6 engine. When I accelerate my truck dosent seem to respond. When I am going up a bridge the truck starts to loose power.I have replaced the fuel filter and given it a tune up. The only other thing I can think of is the fuel pump.I bought it from a guy but didnt ask if it had been replaced yet. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

If it is fuel injected

fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank and clean the mass air flow sensor and then maybe check fuel pressure

No. I know it. Kilroy was a rivet inspector at the Bath Shipyard during WWII. But thanks. I've actually met some of his relatives when went to school out there.

We recently had the truck looked at and was told we needed to replace our idle air control value well we did the truck is still jerk upon take off and we have to cut the key off and turn it back on to straighten it up. We have had it hooked up and tested and was told there was one sensor that is making five go haywire, we was also told however that by replacing the value our truck would run correctly please help its a old truck but a good one
