4wd operation

Transmission problem
1994 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

This truck has the push button 4WD system, Warn manual hubs. I am having problems engaging the 4WD and want to check out the control module but I don't know where the module is, Autozone could not tell me and my manual dissapered...help!

The actuator is located on the transfer case.

I know where the shift motor is. There is an electronic control module somewhere in the cab I am trying to find. In a post on this site I found instructions on how to test it but not the location of the module. Thanks for your assistance.

The 4x4 module is located behind the driver’s seat. Also, check the #7 fuse in the vehicle and fuses under the hood.
