1993 Ford Ranger whining

My original trans lost 3rd & 4th the other day, don't know how to fix/rebiuld it, so I bought a used tranny at the local auto wreckers, we swapped them and the new one whines loudly but it works. I have a 30 day warranty from the shop should I be worried? The r&r was a big job I dont want to do it again if I dont have to.

Hi there,
Thats the price of buying a second hand transmission, you don't know what you have until it fitted, I would be concerned as the whining will be bearings & bushes probably, ii would go get another transmission as you may be up for more money when this one fails.
