1992 Ford Ranger engine dies

my ford ranger quits after 10 minutes of running. it runs rouph and dies. it also has a hard time to fire up. i replaced fuel filter and spark plugs. check engine light is on. is it electrical or machanical? am i not getting fuel? oh, also while it's running, all gauges are on but when it stalls it all goes dead. i have replaced battery-starter-alternater. all this year.

First, I would start by having the computer scanned. If the check engine light is on, there will be a trouble code stored in the system. Most parts stores will scan for free. Some will lend or rent a scanner if the truck isn't driveable. Also, based on you description, it sounds like a bad fuel pump. Here is a how to for checking fuel pump pressure.

You will need a fuel pressure gauge. Again, most parts stores will lend or rent them.
