Car never use to do this, only recently, couple weeks, it has not been giving me the power it use to. Lower rpms the car sputters, acting like maybe fuel injectors not allowing enough gas when gas pedal is depressed quickly, but not to sure what could be the problem, the car is pretty old, and has had modifications done to it for racing, so I tend to do a lot, but since the problem havent done much of that. I run 103 octane fuel, could that be the problem. Thank you for any help and advice you can give

Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
