I have a 1988 Ford Mustang Four Cyl. I have replaced the alternator and Solenoid switch but it still will not crank. It won't even try to turn over. Could it be the battery or is it something else??? Please reply if you know the answer.

Did you clean all the cables?

Ford is bad about if the starter doent get enough volts it does the same thing.

I had the same problem and parts store manager told me this and i changed all the cables and it fixed my problem.

Have you had the starter checked?
