99' Ford mustang convertible V-6 automatic 144,000 miles. Car runs well but when the air temperature climbs above about 90 and about 30-45 minutes of driving the car will not accelerate. When you push the throttle or go up a hill the car sputters and loses speed. If I pull over and shut the car off for a minute it will work fine again for 10 or 15 minutes. If I let it sit longer it will run for a longer period before having the same issue. The dealer reset the computer this winter but as soon as we warmed up the syptoms returned. Engine temp is normal as well as oil pressure. No error codes on the last service visit. I am having the car inspected today and will add any results from that.

My mechanic checked the radiator and it was clear. The temperature of the engine never goes up. The car does not lose power as you slow only when I press the accelerator and try to gain speed. The check engine light has also never come on. Any other ideas?

The radiator looks as if it has been replaced. Two other ideas that have been thrown out are the catayltic converter and the pick-up coil. Would either of those make sense?
