Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My car can't seem to pump oil to the valves (at least, it may not be getting oil anywhere.) The engine is a 3.8L. Is a clogged screen a possibility? If so, does the engine need to be lifted for that? The VIN # is - 1FALP4040VF158836

A dirty oil screen, bad pick-up tube or weak oil pump can all cause low oil pressure. The engine will need to be slightly lifted to remove the oil pan and access the screen, pump and tube.

If you can get your hands on a small bore scope drain the oil insert bore scope in the drain hole and look at the pickup screen! I ordered a Tiny Bluetooth bore scope for diagnosing such problems!
