I own a 1984 Ford LTD Brougham. It has a leaking head gasket that I am trying to fix. I have disconnected the battery but I am unsure on how to remove the plenum.
What should I do to remove it?

Well just to rectify my woeful lack of knowledge at the time, I'd like to say that I have since realized that that is most definitely not a plenum and removed the cylinder heads to find that the antifreeze had gotten into the cylinders because the aluminum heads were warped. The sixth cylinder was terribly rusted so I bought a replacement engine and transmission that are now in the car (same as the original) and it is now running. Thank you for your confidence.
