1984 Ford LTD Repair Question

Engine swap
Hello Im curious , can I take a 302 engine out of a 1984 LTD strip it down and rebuild it and then put it in either a 1976 or 1979 Ford pick-up 4x4. And buy parts for the engine as a 76 or 79 engine using the wiring harness out of either truck. ?

sure, it will fit. what was the original motor in the truck??
