My main dealer (UK) has replaced my slave cylinder and master cylinder and clutch and all the rest (screws fliuid etc) 8 months ago.
On my Ford Focus Millenium 2000 1.8 petrol.
today my car lost the clutch again, excatly the same symptoms (loose clutch pedal under foot) what happened last time when the repair had to be done, only this time they say it is the pipe from the clutch to the gear box that has split, I say that the pipe hould have been done as part of the repair last time, they say no.
Can anyone help me with this one as I think the pipe would have been delivered with the master cylinder or clutch kit last time, instead overall this has cost me £540 plus the cost of the recovery truck to get the car to the dealers this morning. Totaling nearly £600.

thanks

As we say in Mississippi that a lot of 'bread."

There are two reasons for a clutch going soft.

1. A failed hydraulic component
2. A mechanical clutch failure.

Between me and the outhouse I think the mechanics didn't do their job right with the clutch and slave cyls. You cannot over haul them with any degree of success. ( About 20%) A new set should last yeasr.

Hopefully you had a senior mechanic working on the problem not one of those youngsters whose hair gets in the way.

Good luck and TTFN
