Air Conditioning problem
2000 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

i noticed that the compressor clutch will not turn and will not work when its hot. I have no problem with my aircon going to the office in the morning but it will not work in the afternoon going home. Could it be a coil problem if there is enough freon in the system? I noticed also when I got home (aircon not working) and when I wash the car, after a while I turn on the engine and the aircon is working fine (could it possible because the car cools down?)

1st step should be
hooking system up to gauges and checking if low on freon
2nd to check coolant fan operation and check for any codes

Freon level is good. This afternoon clutch is again not turning but is receiving voltage I tried to rotate it with a metal and it turns and ac works fine. Coil resistance is 1.7 ohms. I cant figure out the problem, maybe it has something to do with air gap of the clutch?
