The vehicle appears to hesitate when the truck goes up a incline. Other words driving along a straight highway?

If it only does it on hills, I would start by checking fuel pump pressure. Also, let me know if you need directions and if the check engine light has come on.

How do I test the fuel pump? There is no engine light on when the engine jerks on a incline,
In the event it is the fuel pump, how expensive a repair is this? In some cases it can be a major repair, remove gas tank etc.
Thanks for your help and input

Here is a how to for checking fuel pump pressure.

As far as the other questions, yes the fuel tank needs removed. As far as cost, a new pump would be around 150.00 from a parts store. You can more than double that if you get it at a dealer. I can provide directions if you need them.

Let me know what you find.
