1992 Ford F-150 Engine Knock

Hello, I have a 92 Ford F-150 Flairside, that knocks for a few seconds when start it. Every time I start it. The engine has done this after the first oil change. Someone told me I was using the wrong oil-filter, so I went back too using the autolite filter but no joy with that. I also know of 2 other ford trucks. One a 95 with a 300 inline 6, and a 94 with 302 that do the same thing.

Hi there,

This is often a filter problem, I would try a genuine filter and have the start up pressure tested just to see if there is any delay in the pressure building up. Start here.
