2000 Ford Explorer violent shake when turning
Shakes or Wobbles problem
2000 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 90,000 miles
no shake until we replace brakepads,rotors,..now we took out cv left hand shaft and it looks fine...balljoints,tye rod ends look fine,ball joints play 1/8",had to heat rotors to get them off but we onkly heated rotors in stud area..now a violent shake when turning

WHEEL BEARINGS Turn off air suspension switch (if equipped). Switch is located behind right rear quarter panel. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove wheels. Reinstall 3 lug nuts to secure rotor to hub. Check hub nut for correct torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Using a dial indicator, measure axial end play at hub. Maximum axial end play is .003" (.08 mm). If reading exceeds specification, replace wheel bearing assembly. Page 1 of 1 FRONT SUSPENSION - 4WD TORSION BAR -2000 Ford Explorer 3/29/2009
