Smells problem
2000 Ford Explorer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has a fishy smell! I noticed about Thursday of last week that it smelled like that so I checked it and it was out of Radiator Coolant(dont know how long). So I filled it up but the next day it still smelled like that again. The coolant still seems to be in the same spot and I havent seen any leaks.

Hi mybabyFORD,

Thank you for the donation.

Coolant smells sweet and if any leakages occurs, the splashed coolant would emit the smell and it would not go away within in a short period time, unless it is washed away

Since the smell is present and initially coolant is depleted, I would suggest getting a pressure test to test for leakages.
