When truck has sat over night in cold winter weather when started cold, the engine begins its high rev then stumbles and sputters and will die if fuel petal is not constantly feathered until engine warms (3-5)minutes then engine will run ok. New plugs and fuel filter have been installed recently.

Has the check engine light come on? Also, have you had the temp sensor checked?

Yes the check engine lite is on and no I haven't checked the temp sensor.
I was kinda leaning towards the IAC valve or the Throttle Position Sensor. But the things I don't know on this subject would fill volumes of books. Thanks

First, thanks for the positive feedback. It's appreciated. Next, you could be exactly correct with your thoughts. However, since the check engine light is on, take it to a nationally reconginzed parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. It will lead us to the problem.

When they check it, ask them if you can write the codes down so I can see them.

Let me know what you find. Since the light is on, it will help you save money. Also, most parts stores will scan it for free.
