1997 Ford Explorer overdrive drum speed sensor???????

1997 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 241200 miles
how do you tell if the transmission in my explorer has an overdrive drum speed sensor in it or not?? i am looking to buy a transmission because my transmission is going out and i need to know this before i get one. any help would be great. thank you.

If the transmission has a large switch with a multi-wire connector on the left side where the shift linkage enters the case, you will also have several other connectors, and an O/D drum speed sensor. If not, it will be the older A4LD transmission , which does not have that sensor.
