I recently purchased a '95 Explorer which is turning out to be a bit of a nightmare! Skipping over the most recent repairs required, the truck is now squeaking GREATLY~~ constantly and loudly. It squeaks when driving on a smooth rode, is worse on a bumpy road, even worse when going over bumps. Also, just sitting still and turning the wheel (front tires) back and forth creates this loud skeaking. The worst squeaking occurs it seems on the right side. Is it the suspension system, the shocks, springs, brakes... or what?? Any idea what type of shop to take it to, or what the cost could be?
Unfortunately, due to very hard economic times, I had to sell my 2 paid-off 2004 vehicles (luxury vehicles) and had little money to buy much else. Additionally, as I have no credit cards I can't make a donation, sorry. candy in reno, nv

Ok Candy, those vehicles have a few inherent front end squeeks and rattles. The ball joints are non-serviceable(no grease fittings), I have drilled them and installed fittings before, if it squeeks when sitting still and turning it could be them that is doing it.I have also poked a small hole in the boot and shot grease into the ball joint, then wiped the outside clean and applied a small dab of silicone to seal it back up, this works but takes a few days to work itself in.Also the "radius arm bushings" which are on the end of the arm that goes from the frame back under your feet forward to the suspension, the bushings go out as well and will squeek.A good lube job may just take care of it
