I was backing out from the garage and needed to go forward and in reverse several times as I was manuerving around a car in my driveway parked behind me. As I was going in reverse, I stopped and shifted the car to drive I heard a clunking noise and then the engine stated reving excessively, the car lurched forward, I stepped hard on the brake, shifted to park but the car kept trying to move forward. It slammed into my garage wall and didn't stop until I was able to shut the car off. In examining the car I have noticed what appears to be a transmission fluid leak (red oil). Could a faulty transmission cause this to happen? I purchased this 2008 in December and just reached only 5000 miles.

There could be a problem with the speed sensor or other sensor. Have you taken it to the dealer?

That is interesting. PS fluid is clear and you saw red fluid which is ATF.
