Probably not but you are lucky with a blown fuse that car started. Replace fuse then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it.

No. It didn't start. That is how it acted. Before it died. I thought it was the battery, but it wasn't. Changed battery. Still no start, then I saw the fuse.

I just replaced the alternator, but now it idles really rough and dies when I come to a stop. What could be the problem?

Make sure the battery is charged and recheck the alternator to make sure it is puttong voltage out.

My 2000 Escort has been idling really rough. When you come to a stop light, if you dont put it in part it will stall. I have replace the vacuum lines, spark plugs & wires, & serpentine belt. Been told it could many things. Any ideas?

Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve and test the TPS and MAF sensors-
