IS there a sensor located anywhere that tells the trans when to shift, for the most part the car runs fine. Every once in awhile @ cruising speed ot downshifts out of overdrive and doest want to go back. Thank you

There's a transmission control module or the main computer that tells the transmission how to operate properly thru shifting solenoids, TPS and VSS sensors-
