1994 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

even with the ignition turned OFF, key out If i the battery is connected - the starter starts operating( tries to start the vehicle) I was told that there was a secondary Soleniod that is either stuck open or closed - could it be the ignition control modual ? Or is there really a secondary soleniod & where would it be @ ?

it had nothing to do with any lights - the car could be off, NO KEYS in it(they were in my pocket) & when u hooked up the battery, the starter would just start cranking - what it was was the wiring harness & the actual ignition switch had malfunctioned, & burnt out causing a cross-fire in the connections, i've wired in newer connectors & a new ignition switch & now it works perfect ----> but thanx
