I have a 2001 V6 Ford Escape. When I was stopped, and would push the accelerator to go, the car would sputter like it was going to stall and wasn't getting any gas. Sometimes it would finally go, other times it would stall out. What the problem.

Need to have it scanned for codes. Im guessing the check engine light is on. If not still have it scanned, the PCM probably stored something in freeze frame/failure records. There are simply too many possibilities to guess

You did the scan? Did you check freze frame/failure records? If so and it is an intermittent problem, you will have to check fuel pressure and spark quality. Might be a Mass Airflow Meter, but without any codes and it being intermittent, it would be strictly guess work
