My car has been running fine. I left home for the store and when I came out the car would not start. I tried to jump start it but that did not work. I would just hear the solenoid click everytime I turned the ingnition to crank. I took the battery connectors off and hooked the jumper cables to the car jumping mine, but just got a clicking from the solenoid. With my battery connected I have all electrical power. When I turn on the headlights they do not dim. Electric windows work, radio works, dome lights work.

Check for power to the starter motor, If good, try rapping on the starter to see if it then starts. Jarring a starter that is going bad will sometimes cause it to temporarily work. Sounds like the starter is bad.

Thank you for your response. The voltage is good and I tapped it with a hammer and it started.

Buy a good one!

Napa premium or usa brand are the two that I have had good luck with. Cheapies get you stranded.
