1995 Ford Contour Engine stalling

When I start my 95 contour 2.0L cold, the engine will run fine, but afterdriving for a little while, the car idles extremely roughly, and the engine will frequently quit while idling. The check engine light often comes on for about 10 seconds, whether at idle or not, but I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem or not.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
