Whenever the engine is idling after reaching operation temperature, the engine vibrates intermittently which can be felt inside the cabin.

I would bet it is doing it when the A/C compressor is engaged. Today's cars will run the A/C compressor, even if the heat is on full blast. I believe it has something to do with moisture control. Running the A/C compressor puts some extra stress on the engine. If the engine needs some form of tuning up, it can shake a little when running it. It is fairly normal. If the car is still under warranty, then I would suggest taking it to the dealer and letting them do their thing with it. If not, then I would suggest removing Relay number r10 (pictured in the second image below) and then seeing if the intermittent vibrating goes away. If it does, then at least we know where to start. If not, we will have to look at other possibilities.

So let us know what happens.

The problem still seems to persist with the AC switched off.

Also, when the engine goes through a cold start (in the morning), the vibration is felt even at higher rpm.

The A/C is switched off, but the car is probably still running the compressor here and there. But if you are feeling it at higher rpm's, then it may be something else. I would think maybe it is time for a tune up. I know you said it has 17,000 miles on it above, but that does not seem right for a 2012. Is that the right mileage?

How long has it been since you put new spark plugs? What about the air filter? And what about the fuel filter?
